Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has secured 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children together, so to win a title is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his past six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.
He rescued 4 initial opportunities in a close final set before the champion broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
